In Memory of Gene Sheehan

Gene Sheehan, who passed away in the summer of 2024, was an essential and beloved member of the senior leadership team within the Sullivan & LeShane Public Relations (SLPR) family. Over his remarkable 30-year tenure with SLPR, Gene made a lasting impact on our firm, our profession and the many people whose lives he touched.

While his passing leaves a profound void, we are comforted by the countless memories of his infectious energy, quick wit, and unwavering enthusiasm for each day, every challenge and every project we tackled together.

Gene was a rare soul—genuine, kind and endlessly generous with his time and talents. His laughter filled our offices and the ever-present twinkle in his eyes brought warmth to all who knew him, from SLPR teammates to clients, business leaders and community partners.

A natural mentor, Gene helped shape the careers of many of the region’s leading communications professionals, guiding them with patience, insight and encouragement.

More than anything, Gene was proud of the beautiful life he built with his wife Sandy. His greatest joy came from being a father and grandfather—a role he treasured even more than his position as Managing Partner of Sullivan & LeShane.

His legacy lives on in the work we do, the values we uphold, and the memories we carry forward.
